DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assume ownership for the scalability, stability, and availability of low-latency, mission-critical systems.

• Improve the CI/CD pipeline utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Create and maintain Helm manifests for Kubernetes.

• Oversee Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Establish and manage monitoring systems using New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and identify performance bottlenecks.

• Take charge of the company's technical infrastructure across all environments.

• Administer VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.

• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery protocols are in place.

• Implement secure and stable infrastructure solutions.

• Promote continuous improvement and cost-efficiency measures.

• Ensure 24x7 monitoring, addressing infrastructure-tier incidents, and escalating to higher tiers when necessary.

• Investigate incidents and produce comprehensive incident report documentation.

• Design and construct efficient, stable, and resilient infrastructure.

• Collaborate with teams responsible for various layers of the product infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound knowledge of GCP cloud and AWS cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with containerized environments, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.

• Capability to develop a well-managed infrastructure setup.

• Extensive hands-on experience in building high availability infrastructure using EKS on AWS.

• Strong comprehension of Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform.

• In-depth understanding of GitOps, especially ArgoCD.

• Strong grasp of securing production infrastructure.

• At least 2 years of experience in DevOps for production applications.

• Minimum of 1 year working with Terraform.

• At least 1 year of experience with infrastructure monitoring tools.

• Experience in designing and architecting high-performance applications.

• Familiarity with agile development practices.

• Experience in a rapidly growing startup is advantageous.

• AWS certifications are a benefit.
