DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Operate and enhance production-grade GKE clusters on Google Cloud Platform.

• Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of the cloud infrastructure.

• Manage infrastructure through code using Terraform and Helm.

• Engage in the migration of infrastructure to Terragrunt.

• Take ownership of the GitOps-driven release process utilizing Argo CD.

• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

• Facilitate postmortems that result in operational enhancements.

• Create and sustain observability and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki/ELK.

• Automate routine operational activities.

• Enhance infrastructure standards and maintain documentation.

• Participate in the team's on-call rotation.

• Contribute to an AI-driven engineering organization and integrate AI into engineering workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering capacity.

• Production-level experience with Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, Compute Engine, networking, IAM, DNS, and cost management.

• Extensive hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in a production environment, covering networking, ingress, autoscaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

• Proficient in Terraform within production settings.

• Familiarity with Helm and Docker/containerized workloads.

• Experience in supporting CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.

• Practical experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki/ELK.

• Scripting abilities in Bash and/or Python.

• Strong fundamentals in Linux and networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, and TLS.

• Experience in participating in on-call rotations and managing production incidents using tools such as PagerDuty.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

• Must currently reside in an eligible country as specified in the application form.

• Demonstrated hands-on production experience with GCP and Kubernetes is required in the application form.
