This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design, construct, and oversee cloud-native infrastructure for globally distributed, event-driven systems that handle large volumes of real-time events.
• Adopt a proactive technical leadership role in the design and enhancement of highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure.
• Participate in the design, execution, and management of scalable, highly available Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Create and sustain cloud-agnostic Kubernetes environments tailored for real-time, high-throughput event processing.
• Develop robust distributed systems and apply automated scaling techniques to accommodate fluctuating workloads.
• Enhance and maintain event streaming infrastructure with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement GitOps workflows and automate deployment processes, rollbacks, and infrastructure updates utilizing Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Deploy and supervise PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis within Kubernetes environments.
• Facilitate monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure platform health and performance.
• Assist with Kubernetes security, networking, traffic management, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Collaborate with backend engineers working in Go and system architects to guarantee scalability, security, and operational effectiveness across various cloud environments.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure for large-scale, event-driven systems.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes orchestration, covering networking, security, and scaling principles.
• Proven experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads in AWS.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Practical experience with GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD and automated CI/CD deployments for Kubernetes.
• Solid Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Expertise in Helm for packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications.
• Familiarity with event streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or comparable systems for real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of Service Mesh technologies like Istio, Linkerd, or Consul for enhanced networking and security.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Go-based backend teams to optimize infrastructure automation and performance.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK.
• Familiarity with advanced Kubernetes security practices, including OPA/Gatekeeper, secrets management, and network segmentation.
• Knowledge of networking, traffic management, and security solutions such as NGINX Ingress Controller, Cilium, or Calico.
