DevOps Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available Kubernetes infrastructure.

• Construct and sustain cloud-agnostic Kubernetes environments tailored for real-time, high-throughput event processing.

• Create resilient distributed systems while implementing automated scaling strategies.

• Optimize event streaming infrastructure to enhance performance, reliability, and security.

• Execute GitOps workflows to automate deployments, rollbacks, and infrastructure updates utilizing Terraform/OpenTofu.

• Deploy and oversee PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis databases within Kubernetes.

• Facilitate monitoring, logging, and observability solutions that ensure platform health and performance.

• Assist in Kubernetes security, networking, traffic management, and troubleshooting in live production settings.

• Collaborate with backend engineers using a Go-based stack and system architects.

• Guarantee scalability, security, and operational efficiency across various cloud environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in designing and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure for large-scale, event-driven systems.

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, covering networking, security, and scaling concepts.

• Proven experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads on AWS.

• Extensive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.

• Practical knowledge of GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD.

• Experience in automated CI/CD deployments for Kubernetes.

• Robust Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting skills.

• Proficient in using Helm for packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications.

• Familiarity with event streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar systems.

• Understanding of Service Mesh technologies like Istio, Linkerd, or Consul.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Go-based backend teams to enhance infrastructure automation and performance.

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK.

• Knowledge of advanced Kubernetes security practices, including OPA/Gatekeeper, secrets management, and network segmentation.

• Experience with networking, traffic management, and security solutions such as NGINX Ingress Controller, Cilium, or Calico.
