DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and oversee cloud-native infrastructure for event-driven systems that are distributed across various locations.

• Create and enhance infrastructure that is highly available and fault-tolerant, tailored for extensive microservices and event-driven workloads.

• Work in collaboration with backend engineers proficient in Go and system architects.

• Play a key role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and highly available Kubernetes infrastructure.

• Establish and sustain cloud-agnostic Kubernetes environments for real-time, high-throughput event processing.

• Innovate resilient distributed systems and automated scaling methodologies.

• Enhance and support event streaming infrastructure, focusing on performance, reliability, and security.

• Implement GitOps workflows and automate the processes of deployments, rollbacks, and infrastructure updates utilizing Terraform/OpenTofu.

• Deploy and manage databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis within Kubernetes.

• Aid in monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.

• Provide support for Kubernetes security, networking, traffic management, and troubleshooting in production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in designing and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure for large-scale, event-driven systems.

• Proficient experience in Kubernetes orchestration, particularly in networking, security, and scaling principles.

• Experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads on AWS.

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or OpenTofu.

• Practical knowledge of GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD.

• Experience in automated CI/CD deployments tailored for Kubernetes.

• Solid Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Proficient in using Helm for packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications.

• Familiarity with event streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar systems.

• Understanding of Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or Consul.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Go-based backend teams to enhance infrastructure automation and performance.

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK is considered a plus.

• Familiarity with advanced Kubernetes security practices is an added advantage.

• Experience with networking, traffic management, and security solutions is beneficial.

• Multi-region deployment experience is considered a plus.
