DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Build and consistently improve modern infrastructure.

• Design innovative platforms utilizing public/private cloud architectures.

• Propel automation, security, scalability, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Establish DevOps principles within Product Teams as a key member of a Scrum team.

• Create automated workflows, versioning strategies, and deployment processes.

• Collaborate closely with development teams working on Kotlin-based services.

• Modify Gradle build configurations, container setups, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Make minor code adjustments and review pull requests.

• Assist in deployment, release, and operational processes, along with troubleshooting and performance optimization.

• Automate infrastructure configuration using Ansible and enhance playbooks.

• Streamline build, deployment, and monitoring processes through Jenkins and Bitbucket Pipelines.

• Utilize Infrastructure as Code for consistent and traceable provisioning.

• Aid in migrating existing applications to containerized environments.

• Further develop workflows based on Docker.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Grafana, Loki, and LibreNMS.

• Analyze monitoring data to enhance stability and performance.

• Assess and implement AI-assisted tools and workflows, including agentic programming.

• Contribute to technical standards and architectural decisions within the Community of Practice.

• Clearly document solutions and share knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or automation of build and deployment processes.

• Strong expertise in Linux (Ubuntu), server configuration, and network setup.

• Proficient in Docker and Ansible.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform is a plus.

• Knowledge in designing and managing public/private cloud architectures.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines.

• Proficiency in using monitoring and logging solutions such as Grafana, Loki, or similar tools.

• Willingness to learn and adapt Kotlin code and Gradle builds as necessary.

• A structured and analytical approach to work.

• Understanding of Apache HTTP Server, Nginx, Apache Tomcat, PostgreSQL, or security and compliance is advantageous but not mandatory.
