This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and develop adaptable infrastructure and automation solutions.
• Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT personnel to oversee development and deployment processes.
• Create and maintain standards and procedures for configuration management across accounts/regions.
• Analyze configuration management activities and tools, applying them to project tasks.
• Partner with project managers to establish configuration management plans, milestones, and timelines.
• Break down configuration items into suitable configuration units.
• Identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Ensure the integrity of version control for both software and non-software components.
• Conduct audits in accordance with configuration management plans.
• Set up and secure approval for baselines.
• Create technical installation guidelines and documentation for hardware and software standards.
• Develop scripts and automation tools for the building, integration, and deployment of software releases.
• Collaborate with development teams and/or the Release Manager to assess the effects of branch and code merges.
• Enhance the release process.
• Investigate software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies.
• Interface with internal teams focused on mobile-first and SaaS-based product creation.
• Create infrastructure as code for the PaaS, cloud-based platform.
• Support lead personnel for designated accounts/regions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff.
• Minimum of six years of experience in configuration analysis.
• Experience with distributed computer systems, software, and related communication networks.
• Familiarity with networking principles and local area networks.
• Experience with company software and hardware products.
• Required 3–5 years of experience with containers.
• Profound understanding of software build cycles.
• Experience in deploying code.
• Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools.
• Fluency in web programming languages.
• Ability to write code for the automation of repeatable tasks.
• Skilled with continuous integration tools.
• Experience in developing infrastructure as code.
• Capability to provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel.
