DevOps Developer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the fundamental server-side logic of Golang microservices.

• Streamline fragmented implementations and create a forward-thinking architecture.

• Construct robust, efficient, and scalable APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end, while transitioning to Protobuf.

• Design event-driven microservices utilizing Golang alongside the Kafka protocol.

• Assess intricate technical challenges and propose creative solutions.

• Design, implement, and oversee database management.

• Create and refine database schemas and queries.

• Leverage PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB for sophisticated data storage and time-series data retrieval.

• Deploy applications to production servers and oversee the deployment procedures.

• Administer and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Configure and maintain secure VPNs using Wireguard or OpenVPN.

• Implement and manage infrastructure through Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, and Cloudflare.

⛳️ Requirements

• Programming proficiency in Golang.

• Experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with VPN technologies, especially Wireguard or OpenVPN.

• Understanding of microservice architecture principles.

• Acquaintance with DevOps CI/CD practices.

• Experience in automating CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency with cloud platforms, particularly GCP.

• Experience with Cloudflare’s web security and performance tools.

• Knowledge of TimescaleDB, event-driven architecture, and Protobuf.

• Strong grasp of networking, Linux systems administration, and application security principles.
