Development Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee various projects across campus(es), ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and progress reports.

• Develop and present monthly updates on development programs and project statuses for executive-level review.

• Formulate comprehensive development programs, campus design strategies, and capital budgets.

• Manage the requirements for entitlements and permitting.

• Execute and oversee multi-phased site development strategies.

• Draft scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning services.

• Engage in procurement activities and project cost estimations.

• Assess and compare pricing proposals.

• Oversee the processes for equipment procurement and delivery.

• Coordinate submissions with site stakeholders.

• Track project budgets and current expenditures.

• Set project timelines and lead teams to ensure timely completion.

• Review contractor payment applications and change order requests; negotiate pricing as necessary.

• Establish security protocols for site construction.

• Create and communicate plans for product deployment.

• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams to develop customized client solutions.

• Foster relationships with key QTS stakeholders and represent QTS in OAC meetings.

• Assist in conducting due diligence for prospective new sites.

• Improve internal project management processes and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related professional experience.

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.

• Proven experience managing Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from initial development through procurement to project closeout.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

• An MBA or qualifications in Management or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in delivering mission-critical data center facilities.

• Significant experience in managing MEP trades.
