This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, configure, and provide support for enhancements to the ServiceNow platform across various applications, workflows, forms, tables, scripts, portals, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
• Implement and maintain ITOM functionalities, which include Event Management, improvements to the Discovery-aligned CMDB, support for Service Mapping, operational health views, and associated automation.
• Construct and sustain workflow automation utilizing Flow Designer, Workflow Studio, business rules, script includes, UI policies, client scripts, catalog items, and other platform capabilities.
• Develop and refine the Service Catalog and portal experiences to enhance request intake, boost customer usability, improve fulfillment efficiency, and increase operational visibility.
• Design, create, and support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise or customer systems through REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, import sets, transform maps, web services, and API-based patterns.
• Convert business requirements, user stories, and operational challenges into scalable technical designs that align with platform standards, security protocols, and maintainability criteria.
• Assist with testing, peer reviews, release readiness, deployment planning, update set management, and post-deployment validation across development, test, and production environments.
• Diagnose defects, integration challenges, automation failures, data quality issues, and platform performance concerns through structured root cause analysis.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, design notes, configuration standards, test evidence, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with platform administrators, architects, service delivery leaders, and operational teams to minimize technical debt and enhance platform reliability.
• Offer technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers or administrators regarding development standards, troubleshooting methodologies, and ServiceNow best practices.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military service.
• 3-5 years of practical experience in ServiceNow platform development, configuration, and administration within an enterprise or managed services context.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow application development, including server-side and client-side scripting, Glide APIs, business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, ACLs, notifications, and scheduled jobs.
• Experience in developing workflow automation using Flow Designer, Workflow Studio, subflows, actions, approvals, notifications, and record-based automation patterns.
• Familiarity with ITSM and Service Catalog functionalities, including catalog items, record producers, variable sets, fulfillment workflows, incident, problem, change, request, and knowledge-related processes.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST or SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server concepts, import sets, transform maps, connection and credential management, and integration troubleshooting.
• Experience with ITOM functionalities such as Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB data models, relationship mapping, and operational service health is highly preferred.
• Ability to devise maintainable technical solutions based on business requirements, user stories, process maps, and operational use cases.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the capability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is mandatory.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer) certification is preferred.
• Experience within a managed services provider, consulting, or customer-facing delivery environment is preferred.
• Experience with Service Portal or Employee Center development, including widgets, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, UX enhancements, and customer-facing portal improvements is preferred.
• Familiarity with CMDB health, CI class models, discovery patterns, reconciliation, data quality controls, and service dependency mapping is preferred.
• Knowledge of source control, scoped applications, application repository, ATF, Agile/Scrum delivery, backlog management, and development velocity metrics is preferred.
• Working knowledge of cloud, network, infrastructure, monitoring, security, or observability tools commonly integrated with ServiceNow is preferred.
