Developer, Delphi

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the enhancement, support, and modernization of current functionalities.

• Examine legacy Delphi code and the business rules embedded within the database.

• Aid in the separation of monolithic routines.

• Suggest technical advancements while ensuring product stability is maintained.

• Execute fixes, enhancements, and introduce new functionalities.

• Contribute to the documentation of technical business regulations.

• Engage in technical and functional refinement workshops.

• Assist in investigating incidents, performance challenges, and business discrepancies.

• Collaborate with QA, Product, Architecture, and other development teams.

• Utilize AI tools judiciously to enhance productivity, analysis, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Delphi development.

• Proven track record in maintaining, enhancing, and refactoring legacy systems.

• Strong knowledge of relational databases, ideally SQL Server.

• Capability to analyze stored procedures, queries, data models, and business rules embedded in the database.

• Proficiency with Git.

• Familiarity with Jira or a similar demand management tool.

• Ability to navigate and work with highly intricate legacy code.

• Strong analytical skills for interpreting tax, accounting, labor, or business regulations.

• Experience in debugging, performance enhancement, and functionality improvement.

• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with Product, QA, support, and Architecture teams.

• Capacity to document technical choices and identified business rules.

• Knowledge of or experience with .NET Core / C#.

• Experience with modernization, migration, or the decoupling of monoliths.

• Familiarity with REST APIs.

• Understanding of software architecture, responsibilities separation, and layered architecture.

• Experience with AI tools in software development.

• Knowledge of ERP, payroll, tax, accounting, or relevant regulatory reporting systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.

• Experience with static code analysis, dependency mapping, or guided refactoring.
