Dev Engineer, Frontend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Deliver and uphold IT applications and services that align with Mashreq's information technology strategy.

• Transform design concepts and product vision into functional frontend products.

• Provide technical insights during sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos, grooming, and planning sessions.

• Collaborate with the team to evaluate functional and non-functional requirements.

• Develop IT products, conduct unit tests, and review the work of colleagues.

• Design, construct, test, and automate functional, performance, resilience, and security testing.

• Manage the entire lifecycle of IT products, including their decommissioning.

• Enhance the continuous delivery process.

• Address incidents and issues related to the managed IT products and their associated stack.

• Establish IT environments, deploy products to infrastructure, and implement necessary changes.

• Set up monitoring systems for IT product usage.

• Collaborate with designers, subject matter experts, the Product Owner, and multidisciplinary agile/scrum teams.

• Maintain traceability of testing activities.

• Assume responsibility for key decisions that align with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as a frontend developer creating modern JavaScript-based web applications.

• Proficient in HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS/etc., JavaScript, and responsive design.

• Experience in mobile development using either native or web-to-native tools and frameworks.

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and libraries, particularly React.

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and practical application of them.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.

• Capability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests.

• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies.

• Prior experience as a Developer on a cross-functional agile team is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts and align organizational decisions.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of swiftly processing complex information and presenting it clearly.

• Ability to tackle challenges and multitask in a high-pressure, demanding environment.

• Willingness to learn new ideas beyond current expertise.
