Designer IV – High Voltage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation of construction drawing plans and details, schematic and wiring diagrams, models, exhibits, and reports under direct supervision.

• Collaborate with seasoned staff and internal stakeholders across various departments and locations.

• Contribute to project execution while aligning with the company's goals and business objectives.

• Work alongside other departments to enhance overall execution and improve the client experience.

• Investigate innovative solutions, challenge existing processes, and pursue continuous improvement in progress and efficiency.

• Engage in a variety of engineering projects and services.

• Acquire exposure to renewable energy initiatives, including solar and battery energy storage projects, as well as utility interconnections.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software for creating plans, sections, schematics, details, wiring, and BOM sheets.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, follow directions, and communicate effectively with others in remote, hybrid, or office settings.

• Capability to adhere to project schedules and budgets.

• Basic comprehension of project financials.

• Ability to interpret internal, client, and industry standards and procedures.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Competence in working independently as well as with team members.

• Willingness to learn advanced modeling software suites.

• Preferred: Associate degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

• CAD experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.

• EIT certification is preferred.

• Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.

• Experience as an electrical substation designer is required.
