Designer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create intricate Architecture and Engineering construction drawings for both residential and commercial projects utilizing AutoCAD Architecture and/or REVIT.

• Conduct a detailed self-review of work prior to submission to a supervisor.

• Maintain consistent communication with the Project Management team regarding the progress of projects.

• Implement Fieldstone’s Quality Control procedures and take responsibility for the work produced.

• Uphold standards for file and folder management, including submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.

• Adhere to Fieldstone and client-specific CAD and file-management guidelines.

• Engage in team meetings to address coordination, scheduling, and technical issues.

• Track time and expenses using Fieldstone’s business management system.

• Promote a culture of service for both external and internal clients.

• Follow ethical standards and professional conduct codes.

• Enhance professional and leadership skills within the organization.

• Abide by laws and regulations relevant to the field of architecture.

• Participate in community and professional development initiatives.

• Comprehend project delivery technologies and the policies governing design work supervision.

• Cultivate positive, collaborative relationships within the firm, with clients, and with consultants.

• Create diagrams that illustrate spatial relationships and functional adjacencies.

• Assist with building code evaluations.

• Help coordinate building components and systems.

• Prepare design alternatives for client consideration.

• Effectively communicate design concepts to the internal project team.

• Compile submittals for regulatory approval.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a Construction-related field, or substantial experience in a professional setting drafting residential and/or commercial construction documents.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture, Revit, or Sapphire Build is essential.

• Familiarity with residential and/or commercial construction methods, construction documents, and CAD principles.

• Understanding of building codes.

• Required CAD/BIM drafting skills.

• Experience with 3D Modeling software is advantageous.

• Knowledge of graphic software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to concentrate in a busy team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
