This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.
• Develop design concepts for client websites and e-commerce platforms, focusing on WordPress and WooCommerce.
• Create templates for pages, product and category layouts, checkout processes, and landing pages.
• Produce well-structured, developer-friendly files and handovers that include responsive states, components, spacing, and typography guidelines.
• Design on-brand creatives for Facebook Ads and Google Ads, including static, motion-lite, and testing variants.
• Craft email marketing campaigns and workflows, as well as content marketing graphics and social media assets.
• Convert analyses, heatmaps, analytics, tracking insights, and test outcomes into design decisions that enhance conversions.
• Provide guidance to Account Managers on design concepts, enhancements, and optimizations.
• Convey design ideas effectively to colleagues and clients.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and design revisions.
• Support Account Managers with Figma tasks and professional reporting.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, marketers, analysts, Account Managers, clients, the Design Lead, and the Agency Director.
• Create marketing materials for Digitalist's own promotional initiatives.
• Uphold high design standards and enhance design-driven outcomes for assigned clients.
• Attend regular client meetings alongside Account Managers.
• Engage in training, skill development sessions, Design Team group calls, and research on industry best practices.
• Report directly to the Design Lead and the Agency Director.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Designer in a professional setting or equivalent experience in a design role at another agency.
• A well-established design portfolio demonstrating high-quality, effective, and on-brand work for diverse clients, stores, and niches.
• Proven experience in designing websites and online stores that have been built and launched, preferably using WordPress or WooCommerce.
• Demonstrated experience creating paid social and search advertisements, as well as email marketing designs.
• Experience working as part of a collaborative design team.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with WordPress, WooCommerce, Slack, a time-tracking tool, a project management tool, and Google Workspace Suite.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Ability to handle video editing tasks, primarily for user-generated content.
• Strong typography skills and a refined aesthetic sense.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to work efficiently, implement changes, resolve design-related challenges, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Must be available and responsive during Central European standard office hours, Monday to Friday.
• Reliable internet connection and a laptop or PC, with the capability to participate in virtual video meetings.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in Slovenian, Croatian, or Serbian is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Fully remote work opportunity.
• Full-time role with standard Central European office hours, Monday to Friday.
• Fixed monthly salary.
• Contractor status granted after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
• Regular performance evaluations every 9–12 months, with the first review occurring after 3–6 months.
