Design Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Management of operations for a three-member design team

• Providing functional and disciplinary leadership while fostering the ongoing growth of the design team

• Acting as the liaison with the Creative Directors

• Converting the Creative Direction into consistent application across pertinent touchpoints

• Keeping track of active projects, availability, and deadlines

• Engaging in proactive resource planning and ensuring timely delivery

• Receiving and disseminating briefs from Creative Direction, Marketing, and other departments

• Involvement in hands-on design tasks for packaging, advertisements, social media content, newsletters, webshops, and other digital assets

• Overseeing and coordinating 3D graphics and renderings, in addition to print and POS materials

• Guaranteeing clean, production-ready print files

• Incorporating AI and automation into design workflows

• Enhancing templates, visual systems, asset structures, and workflows to boost quality, efficiency, and scalability

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in brand, visual, or packaging design, complemented by a strong portfolio

• Experience in leading and developing team members

• Comprehensive background in packaging design

• Demonstrated capability to produce production-ready print files

• Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma

• Strong interest in AI and hands-on experience with Claude and other pertinent AI tools; familiarity with automated workflows is advantageous

• Proactive mindset and initiative

• Ability to manage projects and priorities in a methodical way

• Strong personal creative ideas

• Capacity to collaborate closely with a Creative Director while consistently executing overarching Creative Direction

• Proficient German language skills, at least at C1 level

• Commitment to full-time work, 40 hours per week over 5 days; a minimum of 35 hours per week is feasible
