Design Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee project development throughout the pre-design and design stages

• Administer consultant contracts, managing payment requests, amendments, schedule extensions, and contract completion

• Direct the design development processes and deliverables through bidding and construction phases

• Evaluate design documents to ensure they meet scope and stakeholder requirements

• Supervise estimates, value engineering, and constructability review processes

• Offer technical support and recommendations to owners and client representatives

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to address project and program challenges

• Execute project data transactions utilizing client software

• Provide updates on design and scheduling

• Investigate specific issues and deliver architectural and engineering analysis along with recommendations

• Consult with regulatory bodies regarding interpretations and applications

• Oversee professional consultant services and review their submissions

• Compile reports for management and clients

• Act as a liaison between clients, end users, and governmental agencies

• Organize and carry out field inspections with design consultants during investigation, data collection, and design development phases

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urban Design, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

• 4 years of experience in the offered position or a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Power Apps

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino, and Grasshopper/scripting for technical 2D drawings and 3D modeling

• Experience with SketchUp, GIS, Adobe Suite, BIM, Bluebeam Revu, and PMWeb Client Project Information Management Software

• Understanding and development of budgets

• General knowledge of architectural and engineering construction components

• Ability to interpret plans, details, sections, elevations, and reports

• Telecommuting is allowed from anywhere within the US

• 10% domestic travel required to client sites
