Desarrollador/a Frontend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop functionalities for the owner extranet: reservations, payments, accommodation management, statistics, and guest communications.

• Create features for the public booking engine.

• Enhance the frontend products of AvaiBook.

• Collaborate with UX and Product from the initial phases of solution exploration.

• Build reusable components based on design tokens and document them.

• Participate in the development of the design system.

• Gradually migrate the legacy frontend built with PHP, jQuery, and Bootstrap to Next.js.

• Strengthen the unit testing, component testing, and end-to-end testing strategy using Playwright.

• Integrate the frontend with REST APIs alongside the backend team, utilizing DTOs.

• Focus on performance, accessibility, and internationalization in ES, IT, PT, and EN.

• Work with Git Flow and engage in pull request reviews.

• Utilize AI in development, testing, reviews, and documentation, sharing best practices with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in frontend development, with web projects in production.

• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.

• Experience with Next.js, App Router, and SSR.

• Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS: CSS Modules, CSS variables, token-based design, and responsive design.

• Familiarity with Bootstrap and jQuery to work alongside legacy code.

• Experience with complex forms and tables.

• Frontend testing experience with Jest/Testing Library and/or Playwright.

• Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and web performance.

• Experience consuming REST APIs.

• Proficiency in Git, CI/CD, and Docker environments.

• Daily use of AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar, with the ability to validate their outputs.

• Product sensibility and design awareness.

• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, with clear communication and technical English proficiency.

• Experience with design systems, Storybook, and monorepos (pnpm, Turborepo) is a plus.

• Experience migrating JavaScript to TypeScript or modernizing a legacy frontend is a plus.

• Experience with i18n, feature flags, and charts (Recharts) is a plus.

• Experience with Figma and close collaboration with design teams is a plus.

• Experience in SaaS products, reservations, e-commerce, or payments is a plus.

• Proficiency in Italian or Portuguese is a plus.
