This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Oversee a small team to ensure adherence to team SLAs.
• Onboard and train new employees on systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with management to forecast work volume and assist in resource allocation.
• Mentor team members in cultivating domain knowledge.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and developmental discussions.
• Offer and document ongoing feedback.
• Monitor the team’s SLA performance.
• Assist with audits.
• Lead and manage the production of data, basis, results, and balance sheets for IFRS, Economic Capital, Asset Share, and New Business Reporting.
• Analyze actuarial model outcomes, including validation, change assessments, economic and non-economic stresses, sensitivities, critical scenarios, and back-testing.
• Generate base and stressed balance sheets and P&L accounts in compliance with Solvency II standards.
• Calculate and verify SCR utilizing solvency models.
• Produce and evaluate new business reports, including VNB, APE, NBS, and profit driver assessments.
• Generate asset model results and conduct stress analysis, ALM, and equity release valuations.
• Oversee regression testing for change requests, encompassing testing and impact assessments.
• Direct complex projects and developments, including project planning, dashboard creation, and communication strategies.
• Devise innovative solutions to intricate challenges.
• ALS modeling expertise or Actuarial SME with a background in Data Science (VBA/R/Python).
• Graduation with completed Actuarial examinations.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Actuarial field.
• Strong proficiency in Prophet, DCS, etc.
• Experience in analyzing actuarial model results, including validation, change analysis, stresses, sensitivities, critical scenarios, and back-testing.
• Familiarity with Solvency II regulations, including internal model and standard formula balance sheet and P&L production.
• Knowledge of SCR calculation and validation through solvency models.
• Experience in new business reporting and analysis, including VNB, APE, NBS, and profit driver assessments.
• Proficiency in producing asset model results, stress analysis, ALM, and equity release valuations.
• Experience in regression testing, managing change requests, testing, and impact analysis.
• Capability to lead complex projects and plan effectively.
• Actuarial experience within the UK life insurance sector.
