This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Exhibit leadership that demonstrates professionalism and upholds high academic standards, recognizing the achievements of both students and staff.
• Oversee and guide the school leadership team in the daily operations of the institution.
• Work in conjunction with the Head of School (HOS) to assist the School Board in implementing the school's vision and mission, along with making school decisions and creating policies.
• Supervise programming for career pathways, which include Arts/AV, IT, Business, Health Science, skilled trades, work-based learning, and post-secondary opportunities.
• Partner with industry and higher education organizations to provide post-secondary opportunities for students.
• Navigate regulatory complexities and manage political sensitivities with the board, state department of education, and political stakeholders.
• Formulate plans and policies for the educational program and ensure their execution.
• Guarantee adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with the HOS on the development and management of the school budget alongside the ACCEL Finance team.
• Oversee the execution of school marketing and enrollment strategies.
• Act as a public relations representative between ACCEL and the school community.
• Ensure that programs comply with the requirements set by the authorizing agency.
• Recruit, hire, retain, assess, and cultivate a team of highly qualified staff.
• Promote a positive school culture that involves staff, community leaders, students, and parents.
• Serve as the instructional leader, utilizing data to inform academic decisions.
• Ensure the application of instructional models, curricula, assessments, and targeted instruction.
• Maintain records of school census, attendance, and other state/sponsor reporting data.
• Coordinate responses to audits.
• Ensure that school and office security and emergency plans are compliant with requirements.
• Oversee school technology initiatives and recommend enhancements.
• Stay informed about state-specific report card and accountability standards.
• Ensure the development and review of parent and student manuals, policies, and handbooks.
• Communicate the school's mission and vision while inviting feedback from parents and families.
• Foster professional relationships with parents through timely communication.
• Coordinate special projects, including peer mentoring, service learning, and community engagement.
• Ensure that student orientation and onboarding programs address the needs of students, families, and staff.
• A Master’s Degree in Education or a closely related field, or relevant Educational Administrative Experience.
• Current Administrative and Teacher licenses are required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Education.
• At least 5 years of experience serving as a K-12 administrator.
• Three or more years of experience in an instructional role within an online school.
• A fundamental understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE), including its success indicators and the pathway approach to its implementation.
• Three or more years of experience with CTE, involving the creation and maintenance of external partnerships.
• Experience with research-based instructional practices for project-based learning.
• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Knowledge of State School Accountability and Report Card Components.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to consistently meet deadlines.
• Understanding of and capability to manage confidential information.
• Knowledge of best practices for instructional strategies.
• Prior experience in online learning and research methodologies.
• Understanding of distance learning techniques, assessment, and implementation.
• Familiarity with employee evaluation processes in corporate and non-profit contexts.
• Excellent communication and community-building capabilities.
• Extensive knowledge of curriculum development and program design.
• A proven track record of success in managing for-profit and non-profit businesses.
• A history of building community partnerships and successful fundraising efforts.
