Deputy General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to the business on U.S. and international laws, regulations, and developments in public policy, particularly in healthcare, technology, and primary care.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with business partners and remain updated on significant product developments.

• Create policies, disclosures, and associated processes to ensure ongoing compliance.

• Establish scalable procedures for delivering legal insights throughout the organization.

• Offer practical legal and strategic counsel to internal teams regarding new products and customer experiences.

• Oversee and manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to tight deadlines.

• Collaborate with the General Counsel to navigate healthcare regulatory requirements and develop the legal framework supporting provider and health-system partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or its foreign equivalent.

• Must be in good standing to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare law.

• Experience in regulatory issues, contracting and transactions, and/or litigation.

• Proven ability to advise business teams on ensuring regulatory compliance across various jurisdictions.

• Exceptional legal judgment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to research and comprehend complex legal and regulatory subjects and convey them as clear guidance for non-lawyers.

• Experience in counseling clients and teams on business and risk-mitigation strategies.

• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with external partners, internal teams, and legal colleagues.
