Deposits Compliance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Support the Deposits Compliance team in executing the Compliance Management System (CMS).

• Perform daily due diligence, monitoring, and reviews associated with the Bank’s fintech partner initiatives.

• Collaborate with the Deposits Compliance team, business units, and fintech partners to establish controls and processes that comply with regulatory standards.

• Stay informed about CMS components and improve the Lead’s CMS alongside fintech partners’ systems.

• Examine policies, procedures, and marketing materials of business units and fintech partners to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Suggest modifications based on recognized risks or shifts in regulations.

• Oversee partner controls and key risk indicators, investigate issues, and propose corrective actions.

• Assist in developing action plans and corrective measures related to monitoring and review outcomes.

• Foster working relationships with department staff, business units, and fintech partners.

• Provide support to business units on consumer protection laws and regulations concerning debit/prepaid cards, checks, ACH, wires, and instant payments.

• Carry out other assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking.

• Familiarity and experience with Compliance Management Systems (CMS), including policies and procedures, escalation and reporting, complaint management, trend analysis, and exam/audit oversight.

• Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines, including UDAAP, FTC Guidelines, Reg E, Reg CC, Nacha Rules, Visa/Mastercard Rules, and other federal consumer protection legislation.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to make quick judgments based on provided information.

• Ability to work autonomously and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
