
Dental Billing, Accounts Receivable Specialist – US Dental Practice Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee the billing and accounts receivable processes for the dental practice.
• Accurately submit and follow up on dental insurance claims in a timely manner.
• Evaluate unpaid, rejected, and denied claims, resolving outstanding balances as necessary.
• Conduct insurance eligibility and benefits verification when required.
• Accurately post payments from both insurance and patients.
• Review EOBs/ERAs and reconcile payments with the claims submitted.
• Detect billing discrepancies, underpayments, and missing payments.
• Follow up with insurance carriers regarding claims that are outstanding and their payment status.
• Manage aging accounts receivable and prioritize follow-up for accounts that need attention.
• Correct and resubmit claims that have been rejected or denied.
• Examine patient accounts for any outstanding balances and billing concerns.
• Liaise with insurance companies, patients, and the dental office team effectively.
• Maintain precise billing records and documentation within the practice management system.
• Utilize Dentrix Ascend to manage patient accounts, claims, payments, and billing operations.
• Employ Weave for practice communications as necessary.
• Assist with other dental administrative and billing functions as required.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in dental billing, insurance, or accounts receivable.
• Prior experience working directly with a dental office, practice, or dental healthcare organization.
• Proficiency in Dentrix Ascend is mandatory.
• Strong grasp of dental claims and the dental insurance billing process.
• Experience with claim submission, payment posting, EOB/ERA review, handling denials, and AR follow-up.
• Comprehensive understanding of dental insurance terminology, procedures, and billing workflows.
• Experience in working with insurance carriers and resolving claim-related issues.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify billing discrepancies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to work independently while managing multiple accounts and billing priorities.
• Experience with Weave is preferred, but not essential if the candidate possesses strong dental practice experience.
• Availability to work between 15 to 40 hours per week during U.S. Eastern, Central, or Pacific Time zones.
• Completely remote work arrangement.
