DBA, SQL Server – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments in AWS/Azure.

• Set up, monitor, and ensure database performance, availability, and security.

• Conduct comprehensive database troubleshooting and resolve issues in real-time.

• Perform maintenance tasks, including upgrades, migrations, backups, restorations, and database recovery.

• Assist with release deployments and maintenance work outside of regular business hours.

• Automate operational workflows and keep technical documentation updated.

• Implement and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.

• Enhance database performance utilizing native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

• Carry out other routine responsibilities within the department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in administering SQL Server databases.

• Familiarity with managing databases in AWS and/or Azure cloud settings.

• Knowledge of cloud-native database management and monitoring solutions.

• Experience in Database Performance Tuning and Optimization.

• Competence in Backup, Restore, and Recovery management.

• Proven track record of implementing and maintaining High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.

• Strong experience in database management and upkeep.

• Familiarity with Database Upgrades and Migrations.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Basic understanding of Windows administration is a plus.

• Experience with PowerShell scripting is an advantage.

• Relevant certifications in SQL Server administration, such as MCTS, MCITP, MVP, or equivalent, are preferred.

• Proficient in English for conversation; an interview will be conducted in English.
