Data Warehouse Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable, high-performance data warehouse solutions utilizing contemporary cloud and on-premise technologies.

• Develop, schedule, and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines employing Apache Airflow and dbt.

• Optimize data models, queries, and storage strategies to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Implement and uphold data quality, validation, and governance standards.

• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to convert analytical requirements into data solutions.

• Improve and automate data workflows using Airflow, dbt, and other modern frameworks.

• Manage AWS Linux controls for data warehouse configuration.

• Facilitate data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).

• 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouses and ETL/ELT workflows in production environments.

• Proficiency in SQL along with strong experience in data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.

• Practical experience with Airflow, dbt, and AWS cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and Redshift.

• Hands-on business project experience with Python, C, C++, or Java.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, data-driven setting.

• Must not have had any disciplinary actions related to attendance, conduct, or performance in the past 90 days, and must not be nearing such actions.

• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and Slack.

• Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, Linux, and PostgreSQL.

• AWS cloud practitioner or engineer certifications are a plus.

• Resume must be submitted in English.

• High-speed Wi-Fi connection is required.

• Availability to work during US timezone shifts, including EST, CST, MST, or PST.
