Data Scientist/AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop machine learning models and AI-driven solutions for critical business applications.

• Oversee the complete modeling lifecycle, encompassing data extraction, feature engineering, model assessment, retraining, and real-time deployment.

• Create and implement production-ready LLM applications, including RAG systems and multi-agent frameworks.

• Identify model performance challenges and choose suitable strategies for each issue.

• Spearhead projects from research and scope definition to successful delivery.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams located in the US and India.

• Manage projects or MVPs from inception to completion, including defining requirements and aligning with stakeholders.

• Deliver technical presentations to US clients.

• Develop dashboards and effectively convey results to business audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level expertise.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Practical experience with the ML ecosystem, including pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, or similar tools.

• Demonstrated experience in deploying ML models to production, including real-time or low-latency inference.

• Experience managing model drift and refining models that are already in production.

• Hands-on knowledge of tuning and feature selection techniques, such as Optuna and backward selection.

• Strong background in developing LLM-powered solutions, including agents, multi-agent frameworks, RAG systems, and API integrations.

• Experience leading a project or MVP from start to finish, including requirements/PRD and stakeholder alignment.

• Advanced or fluent English proficiency with the ability to present technical work to US clients.

• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday and their data models is a plus.

• Background in financial services, credit risk, fraud, or large consumer/B2B companies is advantageous.

• Experience in building dashboards and effectively communicating results to business audiences is a bonus.
