Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Develop testable hypotheses related to educational frameworks, conceptual connections, and learning outcomes.

• Create structured experiments to thoroughly assess these hypotheses.

• Analyze domain-specific data to identify the most effective data structures.

• Establish semantic schemas and transform intricate medical content into organized knowledge representations.

• Craft validation methods, performance metrics, and quality standards.

• Evaluate the accuracy, logical coherence, and statistical validity of structured knowledge models in comparison to established medical guidelines.

• Create measurable indicators and control systems to assess the performance of AI features, reasoning quality, and potential failure modes.

• Collaborate with medical professionals to confirm extraction accuracy.

• Work alongside the platform engineering team to integrate the Knowledge Graph API into key product functionalities.

• Observe data trends, generate questions and hypotheses, conduct experiments, analyze data statistically, and derive conclusions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, experimental design, and quantitative assessment techniques.

• Demonstrated capability to analyze unstructured challenges, conduct systematic literature or data research, and extract actionable insights from data.

• Solid understanding of structured data suitable for machine processing.

• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn about graph database technologies such as Neo4j and Cypher.

• Proficient in Python for data analysis, statistical computation, and quick proof-of-concept validation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong team-oriented individual with a collaborative mindset.

• Proactive in defining expected outcomes, timelines, and efforts, with a sense of ownership in achieving goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

• Proven record of impact and scope in previous positions.

• Ownership mentality.

• Familiarity with medical terminologies and taxonomies such as MeSH, SNOMED, and ICD-10 is a plus.

• Established interest in Pedagogy, Learning Science, or Adaptive Learning Systems is a plus.

• Prior experience in defining or modeling relational data schemas is a plus.
