Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance AI-driven applications utilizing large language models (LLMs), foundational models, and contemporary AI APIs.

• Incorporate both commercial and open-source language models through prompting techniques, structured outputs, tool invocation, and model selection.

• Create retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for extracting and reasoning with information from documents, databases, and unstructured sources.

• Design and test AI agents and complex workflows involving multiple steps.

• Construct pipelines for document ingestion, text extraction, chunking, embedding, metadata management, and semantic search.

• Assess AI outputs and create test datasets along with evaluation processes.

• Embed AI functionalities into APIs and established product workflows in collaboration with backend engineers.

• Enhance model selection, caching, retrieval techniques, prompts, latency, reliability, and inference costs.

• Examine AI pipeline challenges, troubleshoot model behavior, and oversee the quality and performance of AI features.

• Assess new AI tools and frameworks and convert customer challenges into actionable AI solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline.

• Valuable experience includes strong internships and practical projects related to AI applications.

• Proficiency in Python with the capability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code.

• Understanding of fundamental LLM applications, including prompting, context windows, token limits, structured outputs, and common failure modes.

• Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, document retrieval, and RAG-based applications.

• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous operations, and integrating external services.

• Ability to manipulate structured and unstructured data utilizing Pandas and SQL.

• Capability to systematically test application behavior, investigate failures, and enhance AI workflow reliability.

• Experience or familiarity with production-level LLM applications, AI agents, tool/function invocation, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, vector databases, search technologies, evaluation frameworks, tracing, monitoring, Docker, cloud platforms, deployment workflows, document intelligence, B2B SaaS, enterprise AI, or AEC and revenue operations.

• Strong communication skills, receptiveness to feedback, and effective collaboration with engineering and product teams.
