Data Science Program Lead I – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Align Data and Statistical Sciences study teams with program- and study-level strategies.

• Lead DSS Study Teams and represent Data Science on cross-functional study teams.

• Act as the single point of contact and accountable operational lead from DSS.

• Coordinate DSS study teams to achieve operational goals.

• Engage and connect global functional and cross-functional teams.

• Influence members of cross-functional teams to meet program and study objectives.

• Utilize operational analytics and project management tools to enhance program and study execution.

• Manage both internal and external resources, track study progress, and prepare status reports.

• Anticipate and resolve issues that may impact timelines or quality.

• Ensure compliance with regulations, Good Clinical Practices, ICH Guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and functional quality standards.

• Monitor changing regulations, guidelines, and policies related to clinical development.

• Participate in vendor oversight and offer feedback on study operations and performance trends.

• Coach and mentor Data Science Associates.

• Contribute to DSS and cross-functional innovation and process improvement initiatives.

• Share lessons learned from study execution across functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, computer science, life sciences, or a related field.

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• PMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is desired.

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in pharma, clinical research, data management, or health care, or 5+ years of project management experience and/or relevant work experience.

• Strong knowledge of clinical trial processes and clinical technology.

• Preferred experience in managing a clinical trial from initiation through completion.

• Strong leadership abilities.

• Capability to influence others without direct authority.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong analytical skills.
