Data Science Program Lead I – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Align DSS study teams with program- and study-level strategies.

• Lead DSS Study Teams and act as the representative for Data Science on cross-functional study teams.

• Serve as the designated point of contact and operational lead for the assigned studies within DSS.

• Coordinate DSS study teams to achieve operational goals.

• Engage and foster connections among global functional and cross-functional teams.

• Influence members of cross-functional teams to meet program and study objectives.

• Utilize operational analytics and project management tools to enhance program and study execution.

• Manage both internal and external resources, monitor study progress, and create study status reports.

• Anticipate and identify challenges impacting timelines or quality, and devise solutions.

• Ensure compliance with federal and local regulations, GCPs, ICH Guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and functional quality standards.

• Stay informed on regulations, guidelines, and policies pertinent to clinical development.

• Participate in vendor oversight and provide insights on study operations, issues, and performance trends.

• Coach and mentor Data Science Associates.

• Offer indirect supervision of contract resources as necessary.

• Engage in DSS and cross-functional innovation and process improvement initiatives.

• Share lessons learned from study execution across functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, management information systems, computer science, life sciences, or a related field.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• PMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is desirable.

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, clinical research, data management, or healthcare, or 5+ years of project management and/or relevant work experience.

• Strong knowledge of the clinical trial process and clinical technology.

• Preferred experience in managing a clinical trial from initiation to completion.

• Proven leadership abilities.

• Capability to influence others without direct authority.

• Demonstrated strong communication skills.

• Proven analytical skills.
