This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Reconstruct the essential revenue reporting framework, beginning with the consolidated GTM book, within AgencyBloc's Databricks lakehouse.

• Develop and manage data pipelines from HubSpot, Sage Intacct, and other GTM systems into the lakehouse via a curated, report-ready gold layer.

• Transition department-created reporting tools, such as Client Success dashboards, to utilize governed lakehouse data.

• Substitute manual, credential-dependent refreshes and handcrafted spreadsheets with scheduled, automated Python and SQL jobs.

• Reconcile outputs from the lakehouse against HubSpot and legacy reports on a deal-by-deal basis, identify missing records, and rectify logic errors.

• Execute automated reports alongside current manual processes until historical figures are aligned.

• Establish data quality checks for completeness, duplicates, and schema drift, and address issues at the source.

• Create dashboards and data models for self-service GTM reporting.

• Assist in pipeline and revenue forecasting with accurate data and develop statistical or predictive models as the platform evolves.

• Compute and verify sales commissions and bonuses using system data while documenting payout rules.

• Document calculation methodologies for bookings, expansion, new logos, renewals, and upsells.

• Harmonize metric definitions across Sales, Client Success, and FP&A.

• Sustain the data dictionary and adhere to AI and Data Governance standards for access, lineage, and documentation.

• Collect stakeholder requirements and determine suitable implementation strategies.

• Engage in commissions and revenue reviews with sales and executive leadership.

• Present insights and recommendations to both individual contributors and executive audiences.

• Anticipate inquiries, proactively address issues, and ensure work is completed thoroughly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems/Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in a data analyst, analytics engineering, or BI role, focusing on building production reporting rather than one-off analyses.

• Proficient SQL skills: complex joins, window functions, and query optimization against relational or lakehouse data.

• Working knowledge of Python for data transformation and automating recurring reports.

• Proven ability to automate manual reporting processes, demonstrating measurable time savings or error reduction.

• Experience in reconciling data across systems and tracing discrepancies down to the record level.

• Practical experience with dashboard and data modeling using Databricks AI/BI, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain numerical data and its limitations to senior leaders.

• Self-motivated work style with the discernment to ask pertinent questions and independently drive work to completion.

• Familiarity with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows/Jobs, and notebooks.

• Understanding of the HubSpot data model and reporting, including deals, pipelines, companies, and custom objects.

• Experience with ERP or billing data, such as Sage Intacct invoice details and ARR calculations.

• Exposure to forecasting, statistical analysis, or predictive modeling using Python, R, or SAS.

• Familiarity with sales compensation or commission calculations.

• Knowledge of data governance practices, including standardized metric definitions, data dictionaries, lineage, and role-based access.

• Proficient in version control with Git and shell scripting for scheduled, auditable data tasks.

• Background in B2B SaaS, insurance, financial services, or another regulated data environment.

• Applicants for employment in the US must possess work authorization that does not currently or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment authorization in the United States.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.

• Generous paid time off and flexible work arrangements.

• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

• Collaborative and innovative work environment.
