Data Science Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Utilize academic knowledge while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and expanding industry environment.

• Introduce fresh concepts, enhance skills, and engage in significant projects.

• Clearly document intricate processes and present them effectively.

• Analyze, model, and develop operational, economic, management, accounting, and organizational data.

• Propose solutions to new and intricate challenges.

• Create innovative strategies and measure competitive performance in operations and/or markets.

• Assess potential impacts of changes and report on economic forecasts relevant to the industry.

• Provide proactive and predictive insights to aid strategic decision-making within the Commercial Excellence organization of the Trauma & Extremities division.

• Investigate data and conduct advanced analytics.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify trends, predict business outcomes, and support Inventory, PLCM, and Customer Service initiatives.

• Utilize Python, SQL, and data visualization tools to craft scalable solutions that enhance business impact and facilitate data-driven strategies.

• Build connections with stakeholders and leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field.

• Must maintain enrollment in a degree-seeking program following the internship.

• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, confirmed at the time of hiring.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven track record of collaboration and relationship-building.

• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Targeted majors: Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology (IT), Information Systems (MIS), Statistics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Finance.
