Data Science AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and train machine learning, deep learning, time series, Generative AI, predictive analytics, natural language processing, and image-processing solutions tailored for healthcare applications.

• Create, test, and implement AI solutions in both cloud and on-premises settings.

• Manage extensive healthcare datasets through preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training while adhering to HIPAA and regulatory standards.

• Build APIs and facilitate integrations.

• Implement and enhance AI models within Gainwell’s existing technology infrastructure.

• Collaborate with software engineers to guarantee seamless integration of systems.

• Utilize MLOps and LLMOps methodologies, assess models, and consistently monitor the performance of ML/DL and LLM systems.

• Enforce security protocols and guardrails within Generative AI solutions.

• Oversee, refine, and enhance AI and Generative AI models to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and speed.

• Remain updated on advancements in AI, ML, and Generative AI while exploring new technologies.

• Ensure that AI implementations comply with healthcare regulations, uphold ethical AI principles, and maintain data privacy standards.

• Recognize opportunities for workflow automation and business process optimization through AI-driven solutions.

• Convert business needs into achievable solutions and spearhead collaboration across various functions and departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, specifically in the development and deployment of AI solutions.

• Proficient in various LLM fine-tuning techniques.

• Experience in constructing Generative AI solutions utilizing RAG architecture.

• Expertise in LangChain and LangGraph.

• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or OpenAI Swarm.

• Knowledge of various vector databases and graph databases.

• Strong programming ability in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI frameworks.

• Experience in developing, deploying, and fine-tuning LLMs such as GPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar, including prompt engineering, model optimization, and inference efficiency.

• Proficient with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and MLOps for scalable AI implementations.

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of healthcare AI applications and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA and CMS, is advantageous.

• Comprehension of business use cases, excellent interpersonal skills, architectural skills, and the ability to persuade multiple stakeholders.

• Experience with Streamlit is essential; knowledge of React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.

• Capability to act as a team lead, collaborate with leads across functions and departments, comprehend business requirements, and convert them into practical solutions.
