Data Science AI Engineer, Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and train machine learning, deep learning, time series, Generative AI, predictive analytics, natural language processing, and image processing solutions for applications in healthcare.

• Create, test, and implement AI solutions in both cloud and on-premises settings.

• Handle large healthcare datasets, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

• Build APIs and establish integrations.

• Implement and enhance AI models within Gainwell’s technology infrastructure.

• Assess models and maintain ongoing monitoring of machine learning, deep learning, and large language model performance.

• Incorporate security protocols and safeguards in Generative AI solutions.

• Continuously improve and optimize AI and Generative AI models for precision, efficiency, and speed.

• Investigate emerging AI, machine learning, and Generative AI technologies and methodologies.

• Ensure that AI implementations comply with healthcare regulations, ethical AI principles, and data privacy standards.

• Discover opportunities to automate workflows and enhance business processes through AI.

• Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional team leaders to convert business requirements into deployable solutions.

• Assist with business analysis, requirements documentation, and healthcare reference data activities using governed datasets without direct access to protected health information, personally identifiable information, or secured client data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, focusing on the development and deployment of AI solutions.

• Proficient in various fine-tuning techniques for large language models.

• Experienced in building Generative AI solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation architecture.

• Knowledgeable in both Lang Chain and Lang Graph.

• Familiar with Agentic AI frameworks and workflows utilizing Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Crew AI, or Open AI Swarm.

• Experienced with multiple vector databases and graph databases.

• Strong programming capabilities in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI frameworks.

• Experience in developing, deploying, and fine-tuning large language models (GPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar) for practical applications, including prompt engineering, model optimization, and inference efficiency.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps for scalable AI deployments.

• Proficient in handling big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL databases).

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for translating business challenges into AI-driven solutions.

• Knowledge of healthcare AI applications and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CMS) is advantageous.

• Understanding of business use cases, excellent interpersonal skills, architectural skills, and the ability to persuade multiple stakeholders.

• Experience with Streamlit is essential; familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.

• Capability to work as a team lead, interfacing with team leads from other functions/departments, understanding business requirements, and translating them into practical solutions.
