Data Protection Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Investigate signals of insider threats and conduct endpoint forensics.

• Analyze data-security incidents and highlight risks within customer environments.

• Manage documentation related to incident response and associated project tasks.

• Become proficient in Cyberhaven’s Data Detection & Response platform, assisting customers in its operationalization to minimize data loss.

• Act as a subject matter expert on data protection security challenges and stay informed about external DLP market trends.

• Evaluate platform event data to enhance policies and incident/alert management while pinpointing areas of data-loss risk.

• Collaborate with clients to establish incident-response workflows that align with their security goals and policies.

• Adjust datasets and policies as clients’ data-risk strategies and business requirements evolve.

• Recognize trends and drive the development of requirements to enhance data-detection and response policies.

• Prepare and deliver formal presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Work closely with Product and Development teams to implement innovative strategies for monitoring and preventing data loss.

• Minimize noise and false positives in analytic outcomes.

• Conduct forensic analysis on individuals, groups, and unauthorized egress destinations as requested by clients.

• Report directly to the Head of Global Service.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with data protection products.

• Proficiency in endpoint protection best practices and incident mitigation workflows.

• Experience providing guidance on security matters impacting data protection and insider risk, whether accidental or intentional.

• Expertise in DLP, Insider Threat, and CASB solutions.

• Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR integrations, including solutions related to Cyberhaven.

• Strong knowledge of macOS, Linux, and Windows environments.

• Understanding of security controls for managing sensitive data types.

• Experience in performing technical analyses and overseeing documentation/project management aspects of incident response for data security issues.

• Familiarity with cloud applications and services.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to develop management-level presentations and analysis regarding incident investigations.

• Effective collaboration within a global, cross-functional team.
