This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the data product roadmap in alignment with business priorities and OKRs.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, gather, and prioritize data product requirements.

• Create comprehensive data product specifications, including schemas, SLAs, access controls, and documentation.

• Work alongside data engineers to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of data products.

• Establish and monitor KPIs for data product usage, quality, and the business value delivered.

• Manage the data product catalog and metadata to facilitate discoverability and self-service.

• Lead the planning of data product sprints, backlog grooming, capacity management, and release management.

• Act as the primary contact for data consumers across various business domains.

• Promote the adoption of the data product framework and advocate for a data-as-a-product culture.

• Coordinate with governance, information security, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to product-level policies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in product management, data management, or analytics roles.

• More than 3 years of experience managing data products in a modern data lakehouse or data warehouse setting.

• Strong grasp of data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management principles.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management tools (Jira, Confluence).

• Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

• Proficient in SQL.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience with DataHub, Apache Atlas, or Alation for data cataloging.

• Preferred: Understanding of data mesh and domain-oriented data ownership models.

• Preferred: Relevant certifications such as CDMP, PMP, or Agile Product Owner.
