Data Product Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Convert the vision and strategy of data products into specific, actionable requirements.

• Collaborate closely with Data Product Leads, Lead Engineers, and the broader Scrum team.

• Gather and document both business and data requirements.

• Outline processes and workflows effectively.

• Transform strategic priorities into user stories and clearly defined backlog items.

• Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between Data Product Leads and the Scrum team.

• Foster collaboration among both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Introduce structure and clarity to intricate requirements.

• Assist in initiatives from conception to delivery.

• Contribute to broader data product development efforts.

• Support team priorities while continuously enhancing data product development and delivery across the University.

⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant degree or professional qualification in a quantitative, business, or analytical field, such as Business, Data, Economics, or Computer Science, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience in a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role focused on requirements, preferably within a data or technical product context.

• Extensive experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements.

• Skills in process mapping and documentation using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io, or Miro.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

• Proficiency in backlog management, user story creation, and defining acceptance criteria.

• Capability to convert ambiguous or complex business needs into structured requirements.

• Familiarity with data concepts, including data models, data sources, and data pipelines.

• Excellent communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Experience in Higher Education is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar tools is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Jira, Azure DevOps, or other backlog management tools is desirable.

• Experience managing multiple product workstreams simultaneously is a plus.

• Must have the right to work in the UK; Arden cannot sponsor a Skilled Worker visa for this position.
