Data Privacy Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation of enterprise privacy governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Healthcare Compliance, Security, AI, and Data Governance teams.

• Utilize scalable decision-making frameworks and governance processes.

• Provide guidance to business and technology partners on privacy requirements, emerging risks, and changing regulations.

• Foster continuous enhancement of privacy technology capabilities.

• Work alongside Product, Regulatory, Engineering, Security, and AI and Data Governance teams to integrate privacy-by-design solutions.

• Recognize opportunities for automation and optimization of workflows.

• Convert business, technical, and regulatory requirements into technology-enabled solutions.

• Offer privacy insights across clinical research, secondary data utilization, real-world evidence, genomics, and precision medicine projects.

• Promote the responsible use of patient, clinical, research, and commercial data.

• Assess new initiatives, technologies, and collaborations with cross-functional teams.

• Support strategic, high-priority projects from inception through execution.

• Cultivate cross-functional relationships and adapt to evolving operational priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as law/legal studies, information systems, business administration, or data analytics.

• 3–5 years of experience in privacy, healthcare compliance, clinical research, information governance, privacy technology, or related fields.

• Proven experience in supporting enterprise privacy programs, governance frameworks, or privacy technology capabilities.

• In-depth working knowledge of global privacy regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and related requirements.

• Familiarity with privacy-by-design principles and privacy risk management.

• Understanding of data mapping, data flow analysis, and records of processing activities.

• Experience in commercial, clinical, research, product, and technology settings.

• Awareness of advanced analytics, automation, emerging technologies, and their implications for privacy.

• Capability to translate regulatory and operational requirements into effective, scalable solutions.

• Experience with program management and collaboration tools like JIRA and Google Workspace.

• IAPP certification (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, AGCP) is highly preferred.
