This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and uphold logical and physical data models for operational, analytics, and reporting purposes.
• Create dimensional, normalized, and relational models under the guidance of senior team members.
• Convert business and technical requirements into organized data definitions, entities, relationships, and model components.
• Implement enterprise naming conventions, data standards, and modeling practices.
• Keep model documentation, metadata, versioning, and change tracking up to date.
• Develop and sustain entity relationship diagrams, data mappings, model definitions, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct data profiling, validation, and quality assessments.
• Aid in resolving data structure, lineage, mapping, and integration issues.
• Support the development of data warehouses and data integration initiatives across various systems.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to clarify data requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in data modeling, database design, analytics engineering, or a related data field.
• Proficient understanding of logical and physical data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling and relational database design principles.
• Experience with SQL for querying, validation, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in using data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or comparable platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud database or warehouse technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, Athena, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Capability to manage assigned tasks independently while effectively collaborating within a team setting.
• Applicants must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available, including CPT/OPT.
• Reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and a suitably equipped home workspace for remote work.
