Data Migrations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Analyze customer data from CSV files, spreadsheets, and software databases to evaluate structure, quality, and completeness.

• Align legacy data fields with Gymdesk's platform schema utilizing internal tools, AI (ChatGPT), or custom scripts.

• Clean, transform, and normalize customer data for consistency.

• Import data into Gymdesk customer environments and verify expected outcomes.

• Conduct iterative migrations and resolve any errors that arise.

• Perform manual data entry as needed to address migration gaps.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of Gymdesk's product and configure it for customers.

• Collaborate with Onboarding Specialists and customers to gather requirements and data formats.

• Provide updates on status, clarify data-related issues, and elucidate field-level discrepancies.

• Work alongside product and engineering teams to report bugs and propose enhancements to tools.

• Document migration processes and maintain internal documentation.

• Report directly to the VP of Customer Success and work with onboarding, support, product, and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data migration, data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical role.

• Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, handling CSVs, text encoding, date formats, and data cleansing methods.

• Familiarity with SaaS platforms, CRM, ERP, or customer-facing data workflows.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Prior experience in a customer-facing or onboarding context is preferred.

• Knowledge of SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) is preferred.

• Understanding of data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR) as they relate to customer data is preferred.

• Experience in developing or utilizing internal tools for data migration is preferred.

• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Notion, Jira, Slack) is preferred.

• Must have at least 6 hours of workday overlap with Austin, TX, USA.

• Open to candidates located in LATAM, EMEA, and APAC regions.
