Data & Integration Engineer – AI & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and maintain API integrations across various business systems.

• Develop dependable automated workflows and synchronization procedures.

• Create monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation mechanisms to ensure the functionality of integrations.

• Identify and rectify data quality issues spanning multiple systems.

• Assist in the development of a centralized data warehouse and reporting framework.

• Create dashboards and reports that facilitate informed business decisions.

• Automate recurring operational and financial processes.

• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Develop AI-assisted workflows that demonstrate measurable business benefits.

• Generate clear technical documentation and maintain solutions that can be supported.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in building and supporting API integrations in production settings.

• Strong comprehension of REST APIs, OAuth2, and Webhooks.

• Experience in managing two-way data synchronization and reconciliation.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Graph, Entra APIs, or comparable vendor platforms.

• Capability to troubleshoot real-world integration issues and API constraints.

• Strong SQL proficiency, including queries, joins, views, and stored procedures.

• Experience with ETL processes and data transformation.

• Proven track record of automating business processes from start to finish.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools responsibly within a controlled delivery framework.

• Experience in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.

• Ability to collect reporting requirements from non-technical stakeholders.

• Understanding of how data models support reporting and business intelligence solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder management skills.

• Self-driven and capable of working autonomously.

• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
