Data Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement open-source data software solutions, such as Trino, Spark, Pinot, and Druid, utilizing Amazon EKS.

• Sustain infrastructure as code through the use of IDEs, Git, and adherence to rigorous coding best practices.

• Navigate intricate customer hierarchies and technical landscapes to identify, propose, and execute customized solutions.

• Create and deploy innovative, high-risk technical solutions.

• Serve as a subject-matter expert in open-source technologies.

• Guarantee that infrastructure builds are well-architected and ready for production.

• Have extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Terraform, Helm, Docker, and Karpenter.

• Hold a minimum rating of 3/5 in the deployment and management of Data OSS software, including Trino, Spark, or Pinot.

• Exhibit strong familiarity with Data Lakes, Spark, and Hive architectures.

• Be open to working with non-AWS and various open-source ecosystems.

• Be comfortable interacting with complex customer environments.

• Show aptitude for high-stakes technical troubleshooting.

• Have mid-level experience.

• Previous hands-on experience with Fruitstand is a plus.

• A history of contributing to or managing complex open-source projects in production settings is advantageous.
