This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist in the design, execution, and continuous management of data governance processes encompassing data quality, data lineage, and metadata/glossary management.
• Establish and uphold business glossary terms, data domains, and data element definitions in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
• Document and oversee the complete data lineage from source systems through to transformation and consumption layers.
• Create and oversee data quality rules, scorecards, and dashboards; investigate issues and facilitate remediation efforts with data owners and stewards.
• Support the operational models of data stewardship, including roles, responsibilities, and escalation workflows.
• Contribute to the formulation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with regulatory expectations.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the Collibra Data Governance Center, including workflow configuration, asset model design, and platform administration.
• Develop and manage Collibra workflows for glossary approval, data quality issue management, and lineage certification.
• Configure and sustain Collibra Data Quality & Observability integrations, covering scanning, profiling, and rule authoring.
• Integrate Collibra with source systems and metadata providers such as Databricks, Snowflake, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Oversee Collibra domains, communities, roles, and permissions; facilitate user onboarding, training, and platform adoption.
• Assess new capabilities of the Collibra platform and suggest enhancements in collaboration with Collibra and internal technology teams.
• Collect requirements from capital markets client stakeholders and translate them into governance solutions.
• Prepare governance documentation, training materials, and status reports for both client and internal leadership.
• Aid in the delivery of consulting engagements through proposals, discovery workshops, and client presentations.
• 3–6+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles, particularly with direct exposure to capital markets or the broader financial services sector.
• Hands-on subject matter expertise in configuring and administering the Collibra Data Governance Center, including workflows, asset models, and Data Quality & Observability.
• Strong foundational knowledge of data quality frameworks, metadata management, business glossary development, and documentation of data lineage.
• Familiarity with capital markets data domains such as trade, position, reference/security master, counterparty, and risk data.
• Awareness of relevant regulatory drivers, including BCBS 239, SR 11-7, CCAR, and MiFID II.
• Experience collaborating with data owners, stewards, and technology teams to implement governance processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical governance concepts into language that conveys business outcomes for client stakeholders.
• Collibra certification(s) are preferred.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Dataiku and their integration with Collibra is preferred.
• Exposure to regulatory data programs within banking or capital markets is preferred.
• Previous consulting or professional services experience is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
