Data Exchange Technical Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee and examine daily incoming and outgoing SFTP file transfers and API data pipelines.

• Review flat files, CSVs, fixed-width formats, JSON, and XML payloads for absent, duplicated, or damaged records.

• Track data workflows to pinpoint failures in system integrations and automated file transfers.

• Conduct regular data audits and cleanups.

• Evaluate REST API transactions, request/response payloads, HTTP status codes, and error logs.

• Validate API data against established validation and schema specifications.

• Record recurring API errors and assist software engineers with exceptional cases.

• Write SQL queries utilizing complex JOINs, aggregations, and subqueries to troubleshoot production database issues.

• Reconcile source files and API payloads with Informix database tables.

• Maintain and execute operational SQL scripts for routine audits and validation.

• Utilize Linux command-line tools such as grep, awk, sed, and find to analyze large sets of files.

• Examine application, server, and execution logs to diagnose processing failures and anomalies in scheduled jobs.

• Confirm file permissions, folder structures, and process execution on both Linux and Windows systems.

• Manage data-processing challenges from start to finish and assess severity based on business impact and deadlines.

• Conduct root-cause analysis on data errors, configuration problems, system bugs, and infrastructure downtimes.

• Collaborate with internal developers by supplying evidence, log traces, and replicable steps for intricate application bugs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to work during US EST business hours (night shift in the Philippines).

• Quiet, dependable work-from-home setup from any location in the Philippines.

• Minimum of 3 years in a technical position such as Data Operations Analyst, Systems Analyst, Production Support Analyst, or Application Support Engineer.

• Strong hands-on experience in writing relational database queries, particularly multi-table JOINs, data reconciliations, and filtering scripts.

• Practical experience navigating Linux systems via the command line to inspect, search, and manipulate large data files.

• Proficient understanding of inspecting REST API payloads and parsing JSON, XML, CSV, and delimited flat files.

• Ability to independently trace data through intricate system workflows, identify irregularities, and perform root-cause analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Preferred: experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), insurance claims, or eligibility/accumulator data flows.

• Preferred: familiarity with Informix, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

• Preferred: exposure to Pentaho, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Preferred: knowledge of Postman and Jira.
