Data Engineer, Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee dependable data pipelines that include the ingestion, collection, processing, integration, storage, and distribution of data throughout the organization.

• Operate within a distributed systems architecture to facilitate massively parallel data processing (MPP).

• Integrate various heterogeneous data sources.

• Partner with analytics and data science teams to create solutions and deliver data-driven insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with the ingestion, integration, processing, and storage of large data volumes.

• Background in Big Data projects.

• Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

• Proficient in data extraction using Python and data processing with PySpark.

• Experience with ETL tools.

• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling (Data Warehouse).

• Proficient in SQL databases.

• Experience with AWS Big Data tools, such as EMR, Kinesis, Redshift, S3, Glue, and Elasticsearch.

• Knowledge of Kafka.

• Understanding of Data Lake and DataOps practices.

• AWS certifications are desirable/plus.

• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation is desirable/plus.
