This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design, construct, and sustain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that facilitate the movement and transformation of data between systems.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, SaaS platforms, flat files, and spreadsheets into a centralized data warehouse.
• Develop and uphold connectors and reconciliation logic across project management, time-tracking, finance, and invoicing systems.
• Model and organize data for analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.
• Implement data validation processes, quality checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
• Optimize queries, storage solutions, and pipeline performance for both cost efficiency and speed.
• Document data flows, schemas, mappings, and transformation logic comprehensively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in analytics, finance, and engineering to comprehend requirements and deliver clean, actionable datasets.
• Support best practices in data governance, security, and privacy.
• Must reside in Spain or possess the legal right to work in Spain.
• Over 3 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or a closely related field.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Proficient in Python or a similar programming language for data processing and automation tasks.
• Practical experience in building ETL/ELT workflows and orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, or similar).
• Familiarity with integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party SaaS data sources.
• Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar).
• Understanding of data modeling, warehousing principles, and data quality methodologies.
• Comfortable working with complex, real-world data in formats such as CSV, Excel, JSON, and XML.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills in a remote team environment.
• Nice to have: experience with cloud data platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Nice to have: familiarity with finance or operational data and cross-system reconciliation.
• Nice to have: experience with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
• Nice to have: experience in an agency or multi-entity, multi-currency setting.
