Data Engineer, Looker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the frontend and data modeling components in Looker (LookML)

• Convert raw GCP data into actionable insights for clients

• Administer a complex, multi-tenant Looker environment

• Maintain the LookML layer by utilizing dynamic properties to direct users to specific BigQuery datasets

• Ensure that the one-to-many dashboard architecture remains secure, scalable, and efficient

• Oversee branches and code repositories associated with models, dashboards, and metrics

• Control data access and security filters for various external clients within a unified BI platform

• Manage Liquid variables or user attributes in Looker to facilitate dynamic content

• Administer Looker groups, roles, users, and custom attributes

• Analyze incoming data using an understanding of GCP resource structures

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in constructing complex Looker/LookML models and managing Looker instances

• Proven experience in managing branches and code repositories for models, dashboards, and metrics

• Proficient in advanced SQL for Google BigQuery, encompassing window functions and nested/repeated fields

• Experience in overseeing multi-tenant data access and security filters for various external clients within a single BI platform

• Familiarity with managing Liquid variables or user attributes in Looker to enable dynamic content

• Experience in managing Looker groups, roles, and users, including custom attributes

• General awareness of GCP resource structures
