Data Engineer, Level 5 Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide coaching and mentorship to a caseload of learners through individual sessions and workshops.

• Instruct on practical data engineering principles grounded in real-world applications.

• Assist learners in designing and constructing reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions.

• Support learners in their assessments and portfolio development with high standards and constructive feedback.

• Exemplify professional judgment concerning performance, cost, security, privacy, and ethics.

• Make a positive contribution to a collaborative and high-performing delivery team.

• Enhance data capabilities across various organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience as a Data Engineer or in a closely related position, such as Senior, Lead, BI, or data-focused DevOps.

• Proficient in SQL, including complex queries and optimizations.

• Experience in Python for creating data pipelines and automation.

• Knowledge of data modeling and normalization.

• Experience in designing batch data pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, preferably Azure, with AWS/GCP also accepted.

• Understanding of data security, privacy, and ethical data usage.

• Background in coaching, mentoring, or supporting others.

• Capability to communicate complex concepts clearly and thoughtfully.

• Azure data engineering certifications or a willingness to obtain them is desirable.

• Experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, Spark, Databricks, and CI/CD is a plus.

• Experience in workshop facilitation or structured learning delivery is a plus.

• Must have the existing right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

• The successful candidate must undergo pre-employment checks, including Standard DBS Disclosure.
