This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
β’ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions in Databricks environments.
β’ Build, optimize, and support data pipelines using DBT, SQL, and Jinja.
β’ Implement and maintain data layers of the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).
β’ Apply best practices in data modeling for analytical and reporting requirements.
β’ Develop reusable and maintainable data transformation frameworks and processes.
β’ Optimize transformations and workflows to enhance performance and scalability.
β’ Manage source code repositories using Git and GitFlow methodologies.
β’ Support and contribute to CI/CD automation and deployment practices.
β’ Gather and analyze business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
β’ Translate functional and business needs into reliable and effective data solutions.
β’ Document data processes, architectural decisions, technical designs, and implementation details.
β’ Collaborate with analysts, architects, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
β’ Facilitate workshops, progress reviews, and requirement clarification sessions with clients and stakeholders.
β’ Ensure the consistent application of governance, traceability, maintainability, and quality standards.
β’ Monitor and enhance the reliability, performance, and overall quality of data platforms and pipelines.
β’ Minimum of 5-7 years of experience.
β’ Required education: Engineer.
β’ C1 English proficiency is mandatory.
β’ Proven experience in production Databricks environments.
β’ Proficient in DBT, SQL, and Jinja.
β’ Experience implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers).
β’ Strong understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
β’ Experience designing reusable, scalable, and maintainable data transformation solutions.
β’ Knowledge of data governance, traceability, maintainability, and documentation.
β’ Experience with Git and GitFlow methodologies.
β’ Experience maintaining and supporting CI/CD processes and automation.
β’ Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and business analysis skills.
β’ Proven ability to lead workshops, progress reviews, and requirement clarification sessions.
β’ Excellent communication skills and experience in client-oriented environments.
β’ Desirable experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services.
β’ Desirable knowledge of Data Lakes and modern cloud data platforms.
β’ Desirable experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
β’ Desirable experience with Apache Airflow.
β’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred.
