This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +6 more states.
• Develop internal tools, pipelines, and APIs that support analytics, product features, and machine learning applications.
• Create clean, reliable, tested, and maintainable systems that efficiently move and transform data at scale.
• Design and maintain both batch and streaming data pipelines, including Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines.
• Operate across various cloud infrastructure and data systems.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure a seamless and efficient data infrastructure.
• Utilize AWS, relational and non-relational data stores, Snowflake, Python, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, dbt, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization.
• Engage in code reviews and build clean abstractions.
• Contribute to a collaborative, remote-first engineering culture.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, covering testing, code reviews, and clean abstractions.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Comfortable working across diverse infrastructure and data systems.
• Experience in building and maintaining batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouses, particularly Snowflake.
• Knowledge of transformation tools such as dbt.
• Proficient in navigating cloud-native ecosystems including AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Eager to learn and share knowledge.
• Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Capable of testing code in environments without dedicated testers or QA staff.
• Must possess working rights in the country of residence; candidates may need to provide work authorization details if sponsorship is necessary.
